Purpose

Kwabo is a platform for managing professional events: it publishes registration pages, sells and issues tickets, produces passes, controls access, and introduces attendees to one another.

These terms apply to anyone using the platform, whether from the registration site, the mobile app or an invitation link.

Who contracts with whom

The platform is published and operated by Trida Luxembourg SARL-S, whose full identity appears in the legal notice.

The event organiser is the seller of the ticket. They set prices, define pass categories and access conditions, decide on cancellations and refunds, and hold the event. The publisher acts as technical operator: it makes the platform available, issues the ticket on the organiser’s behalf and collects the price through the payment providers.

Accordingly, a request about the event itself, its content or a refund is settled with the organiser; a request about how the platform works is settled with the publisher.

Acceptance

Using the platform and completing a registration constitute acceptance of these terms, together with any specific terms the organiser adds for their own event.

Where they conflict, the organiser’s specific terms prevail only on the points that belong to them: price, access, cancellation and how the event is run.

Access to the platform and attendee account

Registering for an event creates a personal access, tied to the email address or phone number provided. Signing in uses a single-use link sent by email, or a single-use code sent by message, with no password to remember.

You undertake to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date: the pass is personal, and access control may check it against an identity document.

The sign-in link and code are personal. Passing them on means giving access to your registration, your pass and your conversations.

Registering for an event

Registration means choosing a pass category and completing the form defined by the organiser. Some categories are subject to approval, by invitation, or restricted to a particular profile.

Registration becomes firm once the confirmation is displayed and sent by email. Until payment is confirmed by the provider, the place is not secured.

The organiser may refuse or cancel a registration that does not meet the stated conditions, in particular for a restricted pass category. Any amount paid is then refunded.

Prices and payment

Prices are shown in the currency of the event, inclusive of tax where tax applies. The total amount, including any fees, is shown before the order is confirmed.

Payment is made by mobile money or by bank card, depending on what the organiser has enabled for their event.

  • Mobile money and cards in West Africa: through PayDunya, which gives access in particular to Orange Money, MTN MoMo and Wave.
  • International bank cards: through Stripe.
  • No bank card details and no mobile money account identifier pass through the platform or are stored on it: entry takes place at the payment provider.
  • The order counts as paid only once the provider confirms it. An interrupted or declined payment leaves the order pending, and the place may be released.

Discount codes and invitations

A discount code applies on the terms set by the organiser: validity period, number of uses, pass categories concerned. It does not combine with another discount unless stated otherwise.

A free or invitation pass remains subject to these terms: it is personal, it carries the same obligations of conduct, and it may be withdrawn in the event of misuse.

Pass, ticket and admission to the event

Once confirmed, a pass is issued. It carries a signed QR code identifying the ticket, the event and the zones it grants access to. It can be shown from the app, from the confirmation email, from an Apple or Google wallet, or printed.

The pass is personal and may only be transferred with the organiser’s agreement. One QR code admits one person: duplicating it is detected at access control and leads to refusal of entry.

Access control works without a network, so a pass cancelled since the last synchronisation may still be refused on site. Keep the confirmation you received: it lets the welcome desk settle the case.

Cancellation, refunds and withdrawal

Cancellation and refund conditions are those announced by the organiser on the event page. Every request goes to them, the platform merely carrying out the decision taken.

Tickets for an event supplied on a specific date fall under leisure services: the right of withdrawal applicable to distance selling does not apply, unless the law of the buyer’s country of residence is more favourable or the organiser commits otherwise.

If the organiser cancels the event, amounts paid are refunded through the channel used for payment. If the event is postponed, the pass remains valid for the new date, unless the organiser states otherwise.

Networking, messaging and directory

Networking between attendees only works if you explicitly consent to it: without that consent, your record does not appear in the directory and you receive no meeting requests. Consent can be withdrawn at any time from your profile.

Meeting requests require answering the qualification questionnaire defined for the event. A confirmed meeting may be cancelled up to one hour before the slot.

Messaging is for professional exchanges connected to the event. Repeated soliciting, harvesting contacts for commercial purposes unrelated to the event, and any abusive, discriminatory or unlawful content are prohibited. A message can be reported, and an account that misuses messaging may be restricted.

Prohibited uses

The following are prohibited in particular: circumventing access control or attempting to forge a pass, sharing or reselling a QR code, bulk extraction of directory or programme data, disrupting the platform, and accessing an area reserved for the organiser, staff or an exhibitor without authorisation.

A breach may lead to immediate suspension of access and cancellation of the pass, without refund where the breach is established, and without prejudice to any action the organiser or the publisher may consider appropriate.

Availability of the service

The platform is built to stay usable on an unstable connection: the pass remains viewable offline and access control works without a network, synchronisation happening when the connection returns.

The publisher does not, however, guarantee uninterrupted operation: maintenance, a provider outage or a network incident may make a service temporarily unavailable. Scheduled interruptions are announced where possible.

Liability

The organiser answers for holding the event, for the information it publishes, for the services promised and for the welcome on site.

The publisher answers for the operation of the platform and for the security of the processing it carries out. It cannot be held liable for the cancellation of an event, for content published by an organiser, or for the consequences of incorrect information supplied at registration.

Nothing in these terms sets aside the rights that the law grants consumers as a matter of public policy.

Intellectual property

The platform, its code, its brand and its visual identity belong to Trida Luxembourg SARL-S. Access to the service transfers no rights.

Content published by an organiser remains the property of that organiser or of its rights holders.

Personal data

Personal data processing is described in the privacy policy, linked at the foot of this page. It sets out the controllers, the data processed, retention periods, providers and how to exercise your rights.

Complaints, applicable law and disputes

A complaint about the platform is addressed to [email protected]. A complaint about the event is addressed to its organiser, whose contact details appear on the event page.

These terms are governed by Luxembourg law as regards the relationship between the user and the publisher. The sale of the ticket is governed by the law designated by the organiser on their event page, failing which by the law of the place where the event is held.

The mandatory provisions of the consumer’s country of habitual residence continue to apply, and they retain the right to bring proceedings before the competent court of that country.

Changes to these terms

These terms may change as the platform evolves. The version applicable to a registration is the one in force on the day of that registration, and the update date above is authoritative.
